PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage case capable of receiving/storing an elongate article, obtaining sufficient strength and water resistance for use as a returnable box, and reducing in cost with good transportation efficiency through the use of synthetic resin disposed as scrap. SOLUTION: The article storage case employs an elongate member 11. The elongate member 11 has a base plate 12 and both side plates 13 and 14 formed to stand at both ends of the base plate 12 to exhibit a U-shaped cross section. An opening 15 is provided between the side plates 13 and 14 on an opposite side to the base plate 12. Two elongate members 11 are prepared to overlap the members 11 and 11 to have their openings 15 of the members 11 and 11 facing each other in a vertical direction.
