PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method for efficiently coating an article to be coated. SOLUTION: In the coating method, the article to be coated 1 (preferably a resin molded product) is preheated to a temperature region capable of accelerating the drying of coating to be used and a plurality of coatings 3, 9 and 11 are successively applied to the article to be coated 1 kept to the temperature region. By this method, coatings 3, 9 and 11 applied to the article to be coated 1 can be dried efficiently and properly. In a preferable mode, the coatings 3, 9 and 11 can be dried properly without newly heating the article 1 to be coated from the outside during the period from the start of the application of the coating 3 to the completion of the application of the coating 11.
