PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a metal member, which is complicated in shape and is needed to a sound metallic structure, at a high productivity. SOLUTION: In the molten metal forging apparatus 1, with which the molten metal is formed and solidified by applying the press-power to the molten metal in a cavity C of a die, and a runner K for introducing the molten metal in a molten metal basin B into the cavity C between the molten metal basin B for pouring the molten metal and the cavity C. A first pressurizing piston 4 for applying the pressure to the molten metal in the molten metal basin B and a second pressurizing piston 15 for applying the pressure to the molten metal in the cavity C are arranged, and in a state of supplying the molten metal in the molten metal basin B, the runner R and the cavity C, and the molten metal is formed and solidified into the shape of the cavity C by applying the molten metal in the molten metal basin B and the cavity C.
