PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device allowing obtaining of natural steering feel by preventing a sense of lost of steering force when a steering direction is changed from a turning increase to a turning return. SOLUTION: A controller 13 is provided with a steering state judging part 17 for judging a turning start and a turning end of steering, a compensation control means for compensating and controlling a motor 5 to generate reverse assist torque when the detected steering torque is transitional torque, and a compensation control amount changing part for increasing the compensation control amount of the compensation control means at the time of the turning start of the steering and decreasing the amount at the turning end of the steering.
