PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for searching an address table registered in a bridge device for relaying Ethernet and IEEE1394 by using two searching keys. SOLUTION: An address table AT in which address information of a transmission format of data in the Ethernet and address information in a transmission format of data in the IEEE1394 are set as parameters, and a hash table having a table position consisting of a combination of two hash values are created. The address table AT is stored at the position of the hash table corresponding to the combination of hash values each calculated from two parameters to be used for searching the single address table AT by the two searching keys, out of the parameters set in the address table AT. When the address table AT is searched by the two searching keys, the address table AT stored at the position of the hash table corresponding to the combination of the hash values each calculated from the two searching keys.
