PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray device for detecting foreign substances in which a plurality of curtains made from lead rubber which are easily detached are mounted on carrying-in entrances of a protective box, and which can surely and automatically stop emission of X-rays by installing a detection sensor on each of the entrances and activating an interlock mechanism when removing the curtains made from lead rubber. SOLUTION: An assembling body 80 comprising a bracket 81 which supports curtains made from lead rubber 8, each of which is mounted on carrying-in entrances 21 and 22 respectively, at a predetermined position, and a holding member 82 which maintains the supporting status of the lead rubber curtains 8 by the bracket 81, is mounted on a protective box 1, and an interlock mechanism to detect the mounting status of the assembling body 80 to the protective box 1 is installed. Since the assembling body 80 is detachablely mounted on the protective box 1 with a detachable mechanism 83 provided on the holding member 82 which can be operated manually, the lead rubber curtains 8 cannot be dismounted unless removing the assembling body 80 from the protective box 1. Therefore, one detecting sensor can detect the detaching status of a plurality of the rubber curtains 8, thereby enabling to activate the interlock mechanism. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
