Disclosed is an image recording device comprising an image sensor (28) with a plurality of photosensitive image cells (30). Said image cells (30) can be selectively addressed in order to read the image signal values thereof. According to one aspect of the invention, said device further comprises a plurality of memory cells (38) for storing identification codes, one identification code being assigned to each image cell (30). The image cells (30) and the memory cells (38) are coupled to each other in such a way that the associated identification code can be read along with the image signal value when an image signal value is read from an image cell (30).
