The force-absorbing withdrawable barrier is especially for a bed behind a driving seat in a lorry cab, preventing a lying person being thrown out in the event of a crash. It has a relatively thick storage cassette. The barrier belt band can be folded together in the cassette to occupy unnecessary space. The cassette has the same width as the bed. The barrier is formed by several belts or straps, which can be drawn into a thin and elongated cassette along the front long side of the bed. They can form loops which run through holes or similar in e.g. a plate. An elastic line draws the belts or straps into the cassette.
