PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an accurate accelerator opening by eliminating the error owing to the feed-forward control and perform a vehicle speed control complying with the situation. SOLUTION: A vehicle speed command previous reading function part 2 fed with a vehicle speed command from a vehicle speed command device 1 emits a previous read vehicle speed command with the delay in the control system taken into account, and a driving force computation part 4 having received the emitted speed command computes a driving force command, which is fed together with the vehicle speed to a driving force characteristic part 5 having a driving force characteristic map recorded previously. From the driving force characteristic part 5, the driving force command and the accelerator opening command corresponding to the vehicle speed are emitted, and in conformity to the given commands, the accelerator opening of the vehicle is operated and the control is conducted so that the vehicle speed is conforming to the vehicle speed command without any delay in controlling.
