<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control system capable of safely stopping a battery type riding golf cart, even when a system of a drum brakes 12a to 12d go out of order. <P>SOLUTION: As a brake control system for a battery type riding golf cart, a vehicle is braked by using drum brakes 12a to 12d, regenerative brake of a driving motor 9 and an electromagnetic clutch brake 11. When signals from both of a brake detecting switch 35 and a failure detecting switch 37 are inputted in a traveling control portion 7, the traveling control portion 7 determines that the drum brakes 12a to 12d go out of order. The traveling control portion 7 actuates the electromagnetic clutch brake 11 to carry out emergency stop, after the speed is reduced to a specified value by the regenerative brake of the driving motor 9. The traveling control portion 7 informs an occupant of the emergency stop, and controls regenerative controlling force of the driving motor 9 so as not to make acceleration at the time of speed reduction exceed 0.3 G. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
