<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip capable of avoiding difficulty in opening a door resulting from freezing of snow water on the door hinge side. <P>SOLUTION: The weather strip is equipped with a mounting base part 4, a hollow seal part 6, and a lip 8, and is structured so that the lip 8 is pressed to the vehicle body 5 and folded to a rising peripheral wall 7 in association with closing of the door 9 and the top 10 of the lip 8 approaches to the top 11 of the rising peripheral wall 7, and the lip 8 is furnished continuously with an assist lip 13 protruding toward the rising peripheral wall 7 from a lip part 12 positioned opposite the mounting base part 4 about the folding center O of the lip 8, and in association with the folding of the lip 8 being pressed by the ceiling 5, the surface 14 on the extra-vehicle side of the assist lip 13 is pressed to the inner wall surface 15 on the intra-vehicle side of the rising peripheral wall 7 so that the assist lip 13 is put in pressure contact with the inner wall surface 15 of the rising peripheral wall 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
