PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To concentrate a target element simply, without filtering or centrifigally separating a sample solution, even when the sample solution contains a deposit. SOLUTION: The sample solution 13 is placed in a predetermined sample container 11 having an upper port. Subsequently, an ion exchange resin 23 is placed in a filter container 21, of which at least the undersurface 21A is constituted of a filter. Next, the filter container 21 is put in the sample container 11 from the upper port of the sample container 11, and the ion exchange resin 23 is immersed in the sample solution 13, to make the target element adsorbed in the sample solution 13 by the ion-exchange resin 23.
