PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which effectively absorbs urine by utilizing the entire absorbent core especially in a lateral recumbent position without leakage of the urine from the side. SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 has the absorbent core 4 (A, B) placed between a top sheet 2 and a back sheet 3. The absorbent core 4 has a slanting wall part 4c extending from a part in the neighborhood of the central part C in the width direction to at least one end edge 4e in the back part or in the front part in the width direction.
