The invention relates to an interface for controlling (for example damping) mechanical vibrations for the automotive industry. The inventive interface comprises a base connection element (110), a load connection element (112) and at least one energy converting system (114, 116; 410, 416) extending between the base connection element (110) and the load connection element (112). The different energy converters of said one energy converting system (114, 116; 410, 416) have a common preferential direction and exposed to a preload action produced by a pretensioning element (118). The inventive interface also comprises a pushing force deviating element (120) mounted between the base connection element (110) and the load connection element (112) which is provided with a membrane (122) or a leaf spring disposed preferably in a perpendicular direction with respect to the preferential direction of the energy converting system (114, 116; 410, 416). The inventive pushing force deviating element (120) protects the energy converting systems (114, 116; 410, 416) against mechanical damage caused by an external pushing action. |
