摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct unevenness not having position reproducibility but having frequency reproducibility every time when a radiation image signal is read. <P>SOLUTION: The radiation image reader comprises a correction means 30 having: a circuit 32 for forming projection of a plurality of areas in a radiation image signal by storing the radiation image signal obtained by reading radiation image information recording radiation transmitted through an object photoelectrically by an photoelectric conversion means in a frame memory 31; a circuit 33 for detecting the edge position of the projection; a means 34 for filtering the projection and generating data for correcting unevenness not having position reproducibility but having frequency reproducibility excepting the values at the detected edge position and the vicinity thereof; and a circuit 35 for correcting the radiation image signal according to the correction data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
