PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial-ply tire capable of reducing turbulence in the end number of the carcass ply when a green tire is to be formed, enhancing the uniformity and also improving poor outside appearance of the side wall part, and enhancing the maneuvering stability. SOLUTION: The pneumatic radial-ply tire is structured so that carcass reinforcing layers 4 divided across the width of the tread part 5 about the tire equator C as the center are laid between the carcass 1 and belt 3, wherein the carcass reinforcing layers 4 extend from the side regions of the tread part 5 to the shoulder parts 8 in such a way as covering the whole circumference in the tire circumferential direction, and each reinforcing layer 4 consists of a rubber-covered flat weave textile 10 in which wefts and warps are oriented approximately at the same angle with respect to the tire radial direction, and after being affixed to the tread part perimeter of a cylindrical molding 9 of the carcass ply 2 in the primary molding process of the green tire, it is expanded together with the carcass ply 2 into the specified outside diameter in the secondary molding process.
