The regulation improvement method uses detection of the noise or vibration spectrum during movement of the vehicle, using one or more sensors (SS1,SS2), with analysis of their output signals for evaluating the road surface condition and/or the driving situation. The information provided by the evaluation of the sensor signals can be compared with the information provided by wheel rotation detectors.
