PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article rental period managing system that can automatically perform the rental management of articles and save labor of the article management by attaching RFID tags having recorded management information to the articles. SOLUTION: The article rental period managing system 300 comprises a storage shelf 31 for storing the articles (not shown), an ID card 200 that is carried by a person authorized to utilize the articles stored in the storage shelf 31 and records an individual authentication information related to the authorized person, a storage shelf reader writer 100 for reading and writing individual authentication information to the ID card 200, a controller 50 for controlling the storage shelf reader writer 100, a PC (information processor) 34 that is connected with a LAN (network) 30 and carried by a corporate member A who can communicate mutually, a PC (information processor) 35 carried by a corporate member B, a PC (information processor) 36 carried by a manager, and a server device 33 for overall managing the information from the controller 50 and PCs 34, 35 and 36 via the LAN 30.
