PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient merchandise for preventing a user from making a mistake by using a reporting means for making clear whether water has to be put into a receiving pan or not when cooking is performed with a cooker. SOLUTION: The cooker comprises: a cooking compartment 2 for cooking; a grill on which a material 3 to be heated is placed; an upper heat generation body 10 positioned in the upper part of the material 3 to be heated which is placed on the grill; a lower heat generation body 11 positioned in the lower part; the receiving tray 7 for receiving oil or drip from the material 3 to be heated; a temperature detection device 1 arranged at the arbitrary position of the cooking compartment 2; a control means 14 for determining the amount of the material 3 to be heated by the detection of the temperature detecting device 12, performing energizing control of the upper and lower heat generation bodies, etc., and roasting the material to be heated; and the reporting means 15 for performing a report about whether the water is required to be put into the receiving tray 7 or not, in response to a menu set by the cooking menu setting means 16 of an operation part 13.
