A method for technology assessment comprises developing a customer-driven requirement (202) that satisfies a customer expectation (102), developing a design concept/solution (108) for a system that satisfies the customer-driven requirement (202), identifying one or more science/engineering capabilities (110) needed to bring the design concept/solution (108) to fruition, and assigning a current capability readiness level for each of the one or more science/engineering capabilities (110), the current capability readiness level indicates the current capability of each of the one or more science/engineering capabilities (110) to validate the customer-driven requirement (202) and enable the design concept/solution (108). |
