EXTRUDABLE CROSSLINKED GREASY ELECTROMAGNETIC-WAVE ABSORBER

A crosslinked greasy electromagnetic-wave absorber which comprises a crosslinked silicone gel, preferably one having a consistency of 50 to 200 (JIS K 2220, 1/4 cone), and a filler for electromagnetic-wave absorption dispersed therein, preferably a mixed filler comprising an electromagnetic-wave absorbent and a flame retardant. The crosslinked greasy electromagnetic-wave absorber, which is extrudable, is characterized by having the ability to retain its shape by itself although flowable and by containing the filler for electromagnetic-wave absorption in an amount of 200 to 800 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the crosslinked silicone gel. It is excellent in electromagnetic-wave absorption, thermal conductivity, and flame retardancy and is reduced in temperature dependence. It is extrudable and can be applied to gaps to which sheet products are difficult to apply. It can be applied thinly.
