The invention relates to a method for production of proton-conducting clay particles and a composite material, comprising the following serial steps: a) an activation step for a clay powder, comprising a stage in which said powder is subjected to a gas plasma, b) a graft step, comprising a stage in which the activated powder from step a) is brought into contact with a solution of at least one compound with at least one group selected from -PO3H2, -CO2H, -SO3H and the salts thereof and comprising at least one group capable of grafting to the surface of said powder. The invention further relates to the application of said particles to the production of membranes for fuel cells. |
