<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classification device capable of outputting a classification result representing classification results of individual objects from an image wherein a plurality of classification objects exist. <P>SOLUTION: The classification device is provided with an area extraction means 107 for extracting a plurality of areas from the image, a classification means 108 for classifying each extracted area to a prescribed category, and a representative category determination means for determining a representative category in the entire image on the basis of classification results of respective areas in the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
