#CMT# #/CMT# An automotive diagnostic process determines the correct or incorrect functioning of an ambient air temperature sensor in the air intake. In the diagnostic sequence the system determines whether or not the vehicle is air-conditioned. If not, the diagnosis is terminated. If the vehicle is air-conditioned, a comparison is made of the ambient air temperature and the temperature in the air intake and the deviation is determined.
