FIELD: explosives. ^ SUBSTANCE: preparation of industrial ammonium nitrate-based explosive comprises mixing and impregnation of ammonium nitrate granules with liquid fuel. Impregnation is effected in a continuous suspension phase while simultaneously destroying microstructure of ammonium nitrate crystals by affecting suspension with ultraviolet emission, after which fuel-loaded ammonium nitrate granules are pressed to remove excessive fuel. The latter operation can also be accompanied by simultaneous ultraviolet action on suspension.
