PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic sensor having superior linear characteristics, in which the linear range is extended, and in which the variation in the impedance is smooth, by the stack structure of a magnetic film. SOLUTION: In the impedance detection type magnetic sensor which applies a high frequency current, as a carrier, to a magnetic body, and which utilizes the effect in which the impedance of the magnetic body is varied by the variation with respect to the external magnetic field in the skin depth of the skin effect generated in the magnetic body by the high frequency carrier current, the magnetic sensor has the structure such that plate-like magnetic thin films 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are arranged parallel and that the magnetic films, in which the lengths and the widths of the individual magnetic thin films are different, are arranged and connected in series.
