PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle for continuously casting steel with which the stickiness of alumina on a flowing hole part of molten steel and the damage of a spouting hole can be prevented and the fluidity of the molten steel in a mold till the casting is completed can be secured. SOLUTION: This immersion nozzle for continuously casting the steel has the following peculiarities. (1) The nozzle is formed as a recessed shape having depth of≥2mm at the bottom part in the molten steel flowing hole part, and the radius R of the corner at the bottom part is≥15 mm and almost horizontal surface is formed at the center part of the bottom part. (2) In this nozzle, the radius R of the corner at the bottom part is≥15 mm and a projecting part having≥2 mm height is provided with the molten steel flowing hole part.
