<p>A bed with a back raising mechanism has a thigh supporting/raising mechanism for supporting and raising a thigh alone. The bed further has interlocking means for performing thigh supporting and raising operation of the thigh supporting/ raising mechanism in conjunction with back raising operation of the back raising mechanism. The thigh supporting/raising mechanism has a thigh supporting/raising member whose waist section side is pivotally attached to a bed frame and which supports and raises a thigh alone. The thigh supporting/raising member is smaller in width than the width of the bed frame and provided only at the center portion in the width direction of the bed frame.</p>
