PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a polymer compound continuously and in a high yield and to provide an apparatus for the treatment.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating the polymer compound is an apparatus to treat the polymer compound 21 and a chemical agent 22 under a high temperature and high pressure condition and comprises an extruder 1 that is to mix and to agitate the polymer compound 21 and the chemical agent 22, a high pressure vessel 30 that is united with the extruder 1, a chemical agent separating tank 8 that is connected with the end of the high pressure vessel 30 for separating a treated-polymer 9 and the chemical agent 22, a molding device 2 that is connected with the chemical agent separating tank 8 for molding the separated treated-polymer 9, and a pressure controlling device 11 that is placed between the high pressure vessel 30 and the chemical agent separating tank 8.
