The container(1), typically a collection chamber for a heat exchanger has an opening (2) in which a connection (5) is mounted. The connection has a deformable connection edge region (10) on the edge facing the container. The edge region protrudes into the container prior to the deformation process and after deformation lies at least partially against the interior (12) of the chamber or container opening. The invention also relates to a tool (15) to fix the connection with deformation element which is pushed into and moved in the chamber interior, able to touch and deform a section of the connection edge region.
