PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module in which optical elements are mounted on a light transmissive plate by soldering and which has a mechanism enabling not only optical coupling but also electrical coupling to be highly accurately positioned and mounted. SOLUTION: The optical elements 6 are optically coupled to an optical fiber 3 fixed to a fiber block 1 by fitting pins 7 in guide holes 2a, 2b, 2c provided in the fiber block 1, the light transmissive plate 4, and a substrate 9, respectively, and electrical connection is also carried out between a conductive pattern 5 on the light transmissive plate 4 and solder 8 placed on a conductive pattern on the substrate 9.
