PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium capable of providing a distinct image by restraining the spread of toner while keeping such image quality that the image has no unevenness of toner, has high gloss and has no irregularity of gloss, and to provide an image forming method using the recording medium and a recorded image obtained thereby. SOLUTION: The recording medium 6 has at least an inorganic pigment layer 9 on base material 8 and further has a resin layer 10 on the inorganic pigment layer, wherein the resin layer contains (1) two kinds of acrylic resin particles whose glass transition points are different and (2) polyethylene resin particles.
