Control module arrangement and compressed air preparation unit

The arrangement has an internal bus for communication with maintenance modules (23-27). A communication unit communicates with a control device that operates at a higher level and controls/monitors an air service unit. Another device communicates with a diagnostic device (18), which also operates at a higher level. One of functions of the service unit is diagnosed using diagnostic data, which is output through the device (18). An independent claim is also included for an air service unit with several maintenance modules.
