PURPOSE:To facilitate joining of a motor shaft and a connecting hole formed in a fan, by employng such an arrangement that the motor shaft alone can be turned from the outside by means of a slot or a projetion formed on the motor shaft. CONSTITUTION:A connecting portion 3a of a cross-flow fan 3 is inserted into a connecting end 2c of a shaft 2a of a fan motor 2, and the shaft 2a is turned by a driver or a jig inserted into a slot 2e formed in an adjusting end 2d of the shaft 2a such that a screw 3b at the connecting portion 3a is located above a D-cut portion 2b of the shaft 2a. Then, the screw 3b is tightened, thus completing operation of joining the fan 3 and the fan motor 2 together. By employing such an arrangement, it is enabled to register the D-cut portion 2b of the shaft 2a with the screw 3b with each other in an extremely easy manner. |
