<p>A papermaking machine surrenders a moist fibre web to a drying station with a cooling drum (6) located under a pressure hood (7) located immediately prior to a glazing station (13). Between the heated drum and glazing station the paper web is moistened on the side not having been in contact with the drum. The paper is moistened with steam or water spray. The glazing station has a single nip formed by a hard, heated drum. The assembly may have a number of glazing stations in series.</p>
