摘要
本发明之课题为:在于提供在烧结多孔质玻璃母材,进行脱水及透明玻璃化处理之际,不会引起芯部的偏芯或母材外周之椭圆化,以进行烧结之多孔质玻璃母材的烧结方法及烧结装置。用以解决课题之手段为:一种多孔质玻璃母材的烧结方法,系针对藉由垂吊棒状的多孔质玻璃母材,使其通过加热炉内,进行烧结之多孔质玻璃母材的烧结方法,其特征为:将该多孔质玻璃母材降下至昇温成烧结温度之加热炉内,在使多孔质玻璃母材之各部位,花费4.5hr以上通过由加热炉体的绝热材上端至加热器上端之预热区域后,以加热器烧结,加以透明玻璃化。
