STREAM EDITOR, DIGITAL VIDEO IMAGE RECORDER/REPRODUCER AND METHOD FOR EDITING STREAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stream editor generating a multiangle stream by determining the multiangle start position of each MPEG stream automatically. SOLUTION: A date information acquiring section 102 acquires date information held in other digital video image recorder/reproducer (stream recorder), and a time difference calculating section 103 calculates time difference from the date information held in the date information holding section 104 of its own apparatus. A control section 107 calculates the date corresponding to a specified multiangle start date based on that time difference, determines recording date from recording start date recorded as a tile, or the like, and PTS for each MPEG stream and determines multiangle start position of each MPEG stream automatically by detecting a recording date matching the date corresponding to the multiangle start date among the recording dates thus determined.
