PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fluorescent lamp, which can reduce a feeding time of a phosphor suspension in a phosphor coating process. SOLUTION: The phosphor coating process includes: a first feeding step for feeding the phosphor suspension at a first flow rate after the front of the phosphor suspension being fed reaches a corner portion; and a second feeding step for feeding the phosphor suspension at a second flow rate higher than the first flow rate after the first feeding step; where the first flow rate is a flow rate at which the phosphor suspension gets over the top of a corner-inside wall surface inside the corner portion, and overflows out to the opposite side, and at least a part of the phosphor suspension flows along the corner-inside wall surface, and the second flow rate is a flow rate at which the part of the phosphor suspension flows along the top of the corner-outside wall surface inside the corner portion.
