PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface reinforced woody building material capable of obtaining high surface smoothness and high surface hardness. SOLUTION: A low-viscosity resin 2 with viscosity of below 500 mPa×s is applied to the surface of a woody material 1 and a high-viscosity resin 3 with viscosity of 500-2,000 mPa×s is subsequently applied. The low-viscosity resin 2 penetrates in the cell walls or cells of the surface layer of the woody material 1 to reinforce the surface of the woody material 1.
