PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio portable terminal with a function for displaying an image sent by electric wave and no fear of an extreme decrease in sensitivity even if a user changes a holding angle suitably for making a displayed image upright by using a conventional antenna element, which is used independently and fixed to the terminal device in installation. SOLUTION: An antenna is so fixed to the terminal that the minimum sensitivity direction of the antenna is not located in parallel with the incoming direction of electric wave under a condition (first condition), in which an image display unit of the terminal is put in a longitudinal direction, under a condition (second condition), in which the image display unit is put crosswise, and under a transitional condition between the first condition and the second condition.
