PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotational order sound generator of an internal combustion engine which is capable of making an operation sound of the internal combustion engine sufficiently effective without adding complex equipment. SOLUTION: The generator can more easily be constructed in comparison with an electrical operation sound generator by utilizing a rotational movement of a crank shaft 4 because only a pivoting protrusion 10a and a stationary protrusion 20a are provided on the side of a clutch cover 10 and the side of a housing 20 of a transmission 16, respectively. An operation sound of sixth-order component of engine revolutions is positively generated by an engage-disengage movement between the pivoting protrusions 10a and the stationary protrusions 20a which are provided by six each. This allows the problem above to be solved.Because the sixth-order component is particularly strengthened, an operation sound level can be maintained without causing a discomfort to a train crew so as to make other noises undistinguished. In addition, a feeling of acceleration can be given to the crew at the time of acceleration by the operation sound of the internal combustion engine so as to enhance a comfort during operation by matching a feeling of an acceleration operation.
