PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for preventing the invasion of cats to prevent stray cats, etc., which do not affected by the state of weather, inexpensive, easy to be installed, used and removed, in spite of capable of being used widely, not bulky in space-wise, and also do not harm beautiful appearance. SOLUTION: This device for preventing the invasion of the cats consists of a rectangular net 1 processed as a prescribed size and a stakes 2 driven at a prescribed interval for fixing opposing two sides of the net 1. Alternatively, the device for preventing the invasion of the cats consists of the rectangular net processed as the prescribed size, the stake 2 driven at the prescribed interval for fixing any one side of the net 1 and a housing body 3 capable of including water as a weight attached to an opposing side against any one side of the net 1, or the method for preventing the invasion of the cats by laying these is provided.
