PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting mechanism of a rack for a braking facility of a sliding door so that a dovetail can easily replace a new rack for a worn-out or a damaged rack. SOLUTION: In the braking facility of the sliding door constituted so as to give damping force to the sliding door by rotating a pinion in the predetermined direction by engaging a closed braking rack 29 with the pinion in the case the sliding door is closed, an opening section 30d having such a grade for the closed braking rack 29 to slip off is formed in a proper position in the longitudinal direction of the dovetail 30, the closed braking rack 29 stops both ends in the longitudinal direction by stopper means in the dovetail 30, at least one stopper means between the stopper means of both ends in the longitudinal direction is constituted of a plate 36 movable in the dovetail 30 to enable the closed braking rack 29 to move to the opening section 30d side by moving the plate 36.
