<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pod propeller vessel fitted with a propelling performance enhancing device capable of precluding obstruction in the water influx to a pod propeller by leading smoothly the water flow creeping on the stern bottom undersurface when the vessel is running even if the inclining angle of the stern bottom undersurface is set considerably large. <P>SOLUTION: The vessel structured so that the bottom undersurface 1 of the stern inclines as rising gradually toward the end of the stern part, is equipped with the pod propeller 2 as a propelling device dangling to underwater from the rear part of the stern and fin(s) 4 at the forefront of the inclined bottom undersurface 1 so that the water flowing can make influx to a propeller 2a without generating exfoliation when the vehicle is running in the transient part from the horizontal bottom undersurface 3 to the inclined bottom undersurface 1, with which the fin 4 is held in the horizontal attitude when the vessel comes into a dock so as to be accommodated above the horizontal bottom undersurface 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
