PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device capable of alleviating the shock when abutting against a steering end, and easily performing steering for emergency avoidance. SOLUTION: A current command calculation part 21 is equipped with a basic assist amount calculation part 31 performing the calculation of the assist current Ias* of the basic target component of the assist torque, and an end abutting damper correction amount calculation part 32 performing the calculation of the end abutting damper correction current Idp* of the correction component reducing the assist torque based on the steering angleθs. The current command calculation part 21 is equipped with a vehicle speed gain calculation part 35 performing the calculation of a vehicle speed gain Kcs reducing the absolute value of the end abutting damper correction current Idp* based on the vehicle speed V. The higher the vehicle speed is, the further the vehicle speed gain calculation part 35 calculates the vehicle speed gain Kcs largely reducing the absolute value of the end abutting damper correction current Idp* when the vehicle speed V is not less than the predetermined vehicle speed where the possibility generating the steering for emergency avoidance becomes high.
