PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deformation of a vat used in a cooling tower and the reduction in cooling efficiency of the cooling tower. SOLUTION: A vat 103 has an uneven bottom surface 103a. The cross section in the short side direction of the vat bottom surface 103a is in a recessed and projecting shape. A plurality of fine openings 103c for discharging water used for cooling toward a cooling fin 102 are formed in the bottom parts of the respective recessed parts. The bending of the bottom surface 103a can greatly improve the strength of the bottom surface 103a and efficiently prevent the bottom surface 103a of the vat 103 from deforming.
