<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which satisfactory images can be formed by securely preventing bedewing of an optical surface plate containing an optical system and start-up in a short period of time is achieved. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus in which light subjected to scan by an optical deflection means 63 is emitted from the optical surface plate 100 whose housing 51 houses a scanning optical system including an optical deflection means 63 and images are formed with the scan light, is provided with, on the external face of the housing 51, a heating means 123 that heats the optical surface plate 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
