PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference guide for photography and a camera, with which the size of a person is established at photographing and a certifying picture is readily photographed. SOLUTION: This invention consists of the reference guide 1 for photography and a digital camera. The digital camera has a liquid crystal display part, a shutter, etc. In the reference guide 1 for photography, a guide line 5 and a frame 6 are provided in a transparent film and there is various kinds of shapes and colors of the guide line 5 and the frame 6. A portrait is photographed with a predetermined size, by adjusting the face to the guide line. There is one, constituted by further adding a head contour line to the guide line 5. When not only the outer shape of a picture, the but size of a face is specified, such as in a picture for passport, the reference guide for photography 1 formed by adding the head contour line to the guide line 5 is used.
