PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the tensile strength of a powder bed with high precision from the basic physical properties of powder capable of being easily measured and rapidly calculated without considering the adhesion property of the powder bed. SOLUTION: This method for estimating the tensile strength of the powder bed, comprises: a storing step of storing a neural network model in which the causal relationship between the basic physical properties of any powder and the tensile strength of the powder bed formed by the powder is built using at least particle density, particle size distribution, liquid content, percentage of void and the particle size distribution of the suspended particle obtained by suspending the fine particle in a fluid as the basic physical properties related to the powder of the powder bed; an inputting step of inputting the measured data of the basic physical properties related to the powder bed as an estimation object and an estimating step of estimating the tensile strength from the measured data of the inputted basic physical properties and the neural network model stored.
