PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a piston and a rod inexpensively by easy work of press fitting or caulking. SOLUTION: A fixing device KS fixes the piston 12 and the rod 13 which is inserted into a hole 31 provided in the piston 12. A ring-shape groove 41 is provided on an outer peripheral face of the rod 13 and a recessed part 32 opening on an end face is provided on a peripheral face of the hole of the piston 13. The recessed part 32 has a tapered face of which diameter becomes smaller from an end face to inside at a position facing against the ring-shape groove 41. An engaging ring 21 in a ring shape fits in the ring-shape groove 41 by plastic deformation to an inner peripheral side along the tapered face as the engaging ring 21 is inserted and fit in from an opening part of the end face of the recessed part 32 in an axial direction.
